Mentioned three times in dispatches, and winner of the Distinguished Service Cross, Lt.-Cmdr. William H. Martyn of Calgary has been awarded a bar to his D.S.C. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Martyn, 1608 13th Ave. W.

He now wears the D.S.C. and Bar, the 1939-43 Star with the African Star superimposed, and the Oak Leaves for having been mentioned in dispatches.
A sister, Jean, is serving with the R.C.A.F. Women's Division on the Pacific coast.
