In short: this site asks nothing of you. There are no forms, accounts, comments or subscriptions. It uses Google Analytics to count visits, but only if you say yes.

What this site collects

If you decline, nothing about your visit is recorded by this site. If you accept, Google Analytics records which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the type of device and browser, and roughly where in the world the visit comes from. It does not record your name or email address, and it is used only to see which parts of the site are read.

Cookies

Cookies are small files kept by your browser. This site sets only these, and the first two only after you accept.

_ga

Tells one visitor’s browser from another, so repeat visits can be counted. Lasts 2 years.

_ga_ followed by an identifier

Remembers the state of a visit: how many visits, how long, which pages. Lasts 2 years.

mm_consent

Remembers your choice here, so you aren’t asked again. Lasts 12 months.

You can delete these cookies at any time in your browser’s settings.

Who sees the data

Visit counts are kept by Google, which may handle them outside your country. Google’s own privacy policy explains how. Google also offers a browser add-on that stops its analytics on every site. The data is kept for 14 months and then deleted.

Fonts, pictures and videos

The typefaces and every picture on this site are held on this site’s own server, not loaded from Google or anyone else, so they send nothing to third parties.

If you email taylor@moosemartyn.com, your address and message are used only to reply. They are not shared or added to any list.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes too.
